Gallery Walk
First Friday of each month enjoy the exhibits at galleries, shops and
restaurants in Easton's Town Center during the evening event. Refreshments and
discussion are available at several galleries and many stores stay open late, (5
- 9 PM), so

Chesapeake Chamber
Music
 Now
in its 24th year, the Festival offers the best in world-class chamber
music. This two-week event which features a free young people's concert
is held in June at the Avalon Theatre and several locations throughout

Old Tyme Fourth
of July
A community celebration of Independence Day featuring music, food, and
carnival rides capped off by a spectacular fireworks display at the VFW

Steam & Gas Association, Inc.
Three day show in July with operating exhibits of antique agricultural
equipment, entertainment, craft demonstrations, great food, sawmills,
large stationary engines, train, equipment parade, horses, large flea

Arts Marketplace
Annual Juried Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale
Autumn event providing the best in handcrafted work in
a variety of art forms and a weather-independent indoor showcase for the
sale of artists' work. Concurrent with the indoor show will be outdoor
activities in the form of free entertainment on a scheduled basis, food
and beverage concessions to provide refreshments for attendees. Waterfowl

The Waterfowl
Festival
On the second full weekend in November, approximately 18,000 people from
around the country will flock to this three-day celebration of the arts
to view and buy some of the best wildlife art in the world. 450 artists
and artisans exhibit wildlife paintings, sculpture, carvings, decoys,
photographs and crafts in 18 sites throughout the colonial town. Retriever,
shooting and fly-fishing demonstrations, Goose and Duck Calling Contests,
seminars, master classes, and a decoy auction are special events that take
place throughout the weekend. More than $3.7 million from the show's proceeds
has been donated to conservation projects in the past 27 years. Free brochure

Festival of Trees
 An
annual Christmas event sponsored by the Hospice Foundation, the Festival
of Trees is held every Thanksgiving weekend in the Gold Room of the Tidewater
Inn. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees are on display along with musical
entertainment and refreshments. Scheduled events include a spectacular
home tour, the Celebration of Trains, and a Family Breakfast with Santa.

Easton's Olde
Tyme Holiday Parade
Annual Holiday Parade beginning at Dover Street & Pennsylvania
Avenue to Harrison and Washington Streets. Post parade festivities at
Thompson Park. Participants include scout troops, costumed characters,
floats, musicians, carolers and bands. FREE.
First
Night Talbot
Easton joins over 150 cites nationally and internationally that celebrate
the passing of the old year into the new on New Year’s Eve. This
family-oriented, alcohol-free community festival features indoor and outdoor
lively arts performances throughout downtown historic Easton beginning
in the early evening and ending at midnight with a grand finale.

Farmers' Market
 Visit Easton's Farmers' Market, located on Harrison Street. Held every
Saturday beginning in April through early December.
Sat 8 AM - 1 PM.
Local vendors feature fresh produce, plants of all kinds, flowers, herbs,
gourmet baked goods, soaps, and hand crafted gift and jewelry items.

The
Easton Club
Completed in July, 1995, the Easton Club is an extraordinary community
of distinctive single-family homes and townhouses fronting on a championship
18-hole golf course with lush landscaping, dramatic waterscapes, island
greens, and stately trees. Full clubhouse and pro shop facilities are
available.
Historical Society of Talbot County at
25 S. Washington Street, Easton. Exhibits in the museum change on a
regular basis 10 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Saturday. Tours of the historic
houses on our property are offered Spring through Fall. Housed in a
19th-century building featuring a three-gallery exhibit of Talbot County
history, the James Neall House, built in 1810, the Joseph Neall House,
built in 1795, and a 17th century reconstruction named "Ending of
Controversie." The Society's Federal- style gardens have won state and
national acclaim.$5 Charge for the tour.
Tharpe House Antiques and Decorative Arts - 28 S. Washington Street 410-820-7525
serves as a consignment antique shop, with proceeds to benefit the

Hog
Neck Golf Course
This public golf course is rated one of the top 25 in the country
and features an 18-hole championship course, 9-hole executive course,
pro shop, and driving range.
Pickering
Creek Audubon Center
A sanctuary of the Chesapeake Audubon Society, Pickering Creek
is a private non-profit conservation center with over 400 acres of protected
land featuring hardwood forests, non-tidal wetlands, wildlife plantings,
and nature preserve. Open year-round, Pickering Creek provides a variety
of educational opportunities including lectures, field trips, canoe rentals,

Easton
Point Marina
Located at the headwaters of the Tred Avon River, 975 Port Street,
Easton Point Marina, offers a variety of services for the boating community.
Services include slip rentals, boat storage, a store, gas & diesel
fuels, food, repairs and over the road boat hauling. Hours of operation

Talbot
County Community Center
The year-round activities offered at the community center range from
ice hockey to
figure skating, aerobics, and curling. There are fields available for
both softball and soccer. The Center is also host to many events throughout
the year such as antique, craft, boating, and sportsman shows. 410-770-8050.
Adkins Arboretum A 400 acre preserve and educational center dedicated to
promoting the appreciation and conservation of the region's native plants.
Located 15 miles north east of Easton in Ridgely, grounds and Visitor's
Center are open from 10 AM - 4 PM daily, (except major holidays). 410-634-2847.
Biking
Easton provides a central location for biking day trips. From Easton,
you can bike the quiet back roads of Talbot County or make an excursion
to our neighboring towns of Oxford, St. Michaels, and Tilghman Island.
The triangle of Easton, Oxford,
and St. Michaels
offers a variety of wonderful shops and restaurants within easy biking
distance for the novice and advanced cyclist. You may hop the Oxford-Bellevue
Ferry which crosses the beautiful Tred Avon River. The scenic routes and
flat terrain make bicycling one of this area’s premier sports. Choose
routes ranging from 10 to 50 miles depending on your enthusiasm. Bikes
may be rented in Easton, Oxford, or St. Michaels. Click

Boating
& Fishing
Easton is located at the headwaters of the Tred Avon river. Surrounding
Easton on every side are rivers and creeks (you are five minutes from
the water in any direction from Easton) offering the finest in docking
and marina facilities, Chesapeake Bay charters, or excursion sight-seeing
trips. The Eastern Shore waters are home to the succulent Maryland Blue
Crab, rockfish (striped bass), oysters, clams, and many other treasures.
Bareboat or captained charters are available in both power and sail boats.
Easton can also be reached by boat, landing at Easton Point, a working
port of call for Talbot County light industry.
Antiquing
Within the area, you’ll find some of the most exciting opportunities
for antiquing on the eastern seaboard. A number of fine shops are located
in town, or you can meander the back roads and discover the bounty of
the many different and unique stores. From elegant 18th-century furniture
to oriental rugs and Chinese porcelain, glass, and pottery to “country”
collectibles and decoys, treasures abound for every taste and budget.
